Gianluigi Donnarumma – 4

Awful, awful night for poor Gigio Donnarumma, who made a howler on Douglas Costa’s goal before he dropped a clanger to allow Medhi Benatia to toe poke home his second of the night. The youngster has made several high-profile mistakes this season and needs to address his technique and composure in the future if he is to justify his huge price tag and wage.

Davide Calabria – 6

Good first half in which he kept Douglas Costa quiet before all the self-inflicted woes of the second half made his performance redundant.

Leonardo Bonucci – 5

Scored against his old club earlier in the season and would have loved to have probably played this game on another day, on another planet, with another team and with some other players.

Alessio Romagnoli – 4

Lost his hold on Benatia when the Moroccan headed home the opener to start the deluge on Milan’s goal.

Ricardo Rodriguez – 4

Again disappointed, didn’t get forward enough and couldn’t defend strong enough. He is on paper a much better player than his showings on the pitch this season.

Manuel Locatelli – 5.5

Got the nod ahead of both Lucas Biglia and Riccardo Montolivo, who were only fit enough to start from the bench, and had a decent first half shadowing Paulo Dybala. Everything went wrong in the second and it can’t be blamed on Locatelli.

Franck Kessie – 6

Tried his hardest to get a grip of the ball in the midfield but as always was let down by the lack of movement and strength to hold the ball up of his teammates in the forward areas of the field.

Giacomo Bonaventura – 5.5

Gamely tried to get up and down the pitch, but doesn’t quite have the motor to be a box to box player.

Suso – 5

Stung the palms of Gigi Buffon with a decent effort on the half-hour mark and that was about it from the little Spaniard. Suso will not have impressed any watching Spain selectors ahead of the World Cup with that performance.

Patrick Cutrone – 5

Smacked a shot straight down the throat of Buffon early in the game, but then disappeared as none of Milan’s play arrived in Juventus’ box.

Hakan Calhanoglu – 5

Played some nice combination passes with Cutrone around the Juventus area earlier in the first half, another one that then faded from the game.

Substitutes:

Nikola Kalinic- 4

Came on for Cutrone to try get Milan back in the game but end up scoring an own goal to put Juventus up 4-0. Kalinic must have thought he was up the other end of the pitch when he flicked on the corner and because the Croatian has been so goal shy this season, it’s a wonder it even went in at all.

Fabio Borini – 5

Replaced Suso for the last half hour and just ran about.

Riccardo Montolivo – N/A

Montolivo was thrown on for the last 10 minutes for some reason or another.
