Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso warns Andre Silva “has talent, but needs to do far more” amid reports of Wolverhampton Wanderers interest.
The Portugal international is only 22 years old, but his debut Serie A season has been poor with 10 goals and two assists in 39 competitive games.
It’s noted that eight of those were in the Europa League, only two coming in Serie A.
“Andre Silva has great technique and talent, but right now he needs to improve a great deal,” Gattuso said in a Press conference.

“Andre Silva has great technique and talent, but right now he needs to improve a great deal,” Gattuso said in a Press conference.
“When you are given the opportunity, you have to make the most of it. He needs to do far more, he has undeniable talent, but players at times need to let themselves be helped. If you don’t train in a certain way because you think that you won’t play, then you have to prove in training why you deserve to play.
“I’ve seen a lot of players improve since I’ve been here. They stay longer in training and work on their specific weaknesses. If you have players who stay there for hours, tugging your shirt and asking to do more, that’s good for the club.
“If we play 4-3-3, then we need certain players with their characteristics. It’s only normal that at the moment we want two wide men with technique and creativity, so only Suso and Hakan Calhanoglu fit that bill.
“It’s not that I don’t trust in the others, we just have those options for those roles and Fabio Borini has completely different characteristics.”
