Carlo Ancelotti has been in frequent talks with Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, according to the Corriere della Sera.
Maurizio Sarri is widely expected to move on at the end of the season, following very public criticism from his President.
It is reported in today’s paper that De Laurentiis had several phone calls with Ancelotti and they are due to meet on May 21.
The former Bayern Munich boss will be in Milan to attend Andrea Pirlo’s testimonial that day.
Napoli have qualified for the Champions League, but are set to miss out on the Scudetto to Juventus.
They are six points behind with two rounds to go, but also a long way back in terms of goal difference (as their head-to-head record is identical).
