There is an interesting extra piece of information, if true, as Sky Sport Italia report this evening that the €8m release clause in the contract actually expires on May 22 and not May 31.

This would give interested clubs just a week to activate it and free the tactician.

There were reports today that Carlo Ancelotti is already house-hunting in Naples, but despite his public criticism, it seems De Laurentiis is first and foremost eager to keep Sarri.
