It’s reported Mattia Perin has accepted a move to Juventus, who must now negotiate with Genoa.

Gianluigi Buffon is expected to announce his retirement this week, and the Bianconeri want another quality goalkeeper to compete with Wojciech Szczesny next season.

It emerged last week that they are interested in Perin, though general manager Giuseppe Marotta insisted “we’re a long way from a real negotiation”.

Now though the Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that the Bianconeri have made the Grifone goalkeeper their first choice, and he is keen to move to Turin.

There is some distance between their respective valuations though, with Juve willing to offer around €12m for a player who has just a year left on his contract.

Genoa value the Italian international closer to €20m, so there is a big gap to bridge when real negotiations begin.

Perin has agreed in principle on a contract worth €2.5m for five seasons, according to the newspaper.
