CEO Marco Fassone stated yesterday that he was hopeful the 19-year-old would stay, but admitted “Milan wouldn’t stand in his way if any suitable offers came in and he wanted to leave”.

Now SportMediaset is reporting that Champions League finalists Liverpool are interested in signing the goalkeeper, and his agent, Mino Raiola, has met with Jurgen Klopp.

However, the Rossoneri are demanding €70m [£61.5m] for Donnarumma, and the Reds have no intention of paying that price.

They’ve told Raiola that they’d pay €40m plus a player, but Milan won’t even come to the table on that basis.
