Walter Zenga bids farewell to Crotone after their relegation - “when we go to the South we cry twice: when we arrive but, above all, when we leave”.
The former goalkeeper was appointed by the Squali in December, signing a contract until the end of the season, but they were relegated on the final day of Serie A.
It appears that he will not be kept on beyond the end of his current deal, as the 58-year-old has said an emotional farewell to Calabria.
“Thank you,” Zenga began, writing on Instagram.
“I put my passion, my professionalism and my seriousness into this. I haven’t seen my kids for two months, this hurts. This hurts a lot.
“Crotone and the Crotonesi will always remain in my heart. I feel bitterness, but also the joy of having met wonderful, kind and open people.
