Just 24 hours after warning “several top clubs are ready to pay the release clause,” Wanda Nara assured Mauro Icardi is staying at Inter.
The striker’s wife and agent told media in Argentina that Icardi was the subject of several massive proposals for this summer.
She pointed out the situation was very clear: “Either there’s a contract renewal or he leaves.”
Today, Wanda was tweeted by an Inter supporter who threatened to kill himself if Icardi left and said he’d be on her conscience.
She replied with a heart emoji and the message: “Relax… he’s staying.”
The situation seems to be very similar to last summer, when Wanda Nara tried to negotiate a new and improved contract for her husband.
He was joint Capocannoniere in Serie A this season, on 29 goals with Ciro Immobile, helping Inter qualify for the Champions League.
It’s reported she wants his salary increased to €8m per year.
