Juventus and Napoli made “massive” offers for Keita Balde Diao over the last 12 months, revealed Monaco chief Vadim Vasilyev.
The 23-year-old Senegal international was born in Spain and came through the Barcelona youth academy before moving on to Lazio.
“I can confirm we received an offer from Napoli in January that was very high,” Monaco Vice-President Vasilyev told SFR Sport.

“I can confirm we received an offer from Napoli in January that was very high,” Monaco Vice-President Vasilyev told SFR Sport.
“I can also say that I spoke to the Lazio director and he confirmed to me that when we had a basic agreement with Lazio, Juventus tried to intervene with a massive proposal.”
Monaco signed Keita Balde from the Aquile for €30m, a year before his contract was due to expire, in August 2017.
This season, he has contributed eight goals and 11 assists in 33 competitive games.
