Hamsik confessed on Sunday that he was ‘tempted’ by a transfer to the Far East, and De Laurentiis replied to his captain, as well as passing judgment on Mario Balotelli, Lorenzo Insigne and Maurizio Sarri.

“Balotelli? We haven’t taken him into consideration,” he said during an address at the University of Naples Federico II.
“He’s extraordinary, but first of all we have to understand the possibilities of players currently here with Ancelotti during preseason.
“We have so many players in attack, we can’t hurt those who are here and have never played for Napoli.
“To think that our attack is a priority is a mistake. Our priorities are different. Hamsik? I told him, ‘where are you going? This is your home.’
“After that, it’s up to him if he wants to leave, but I don’t do discounts for anyone.
“Insigne? He’s a Neapolitan symbol and sometimes he forgets how difficult it is for the Neapolitans to play for Napoli.
