Napoli are reportedly back in for Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira, but don’t want to pay his €25m release clause.
The Partenopei had been in talks with the Uruguayan, but the deal collapsed and his agent began talking with other clubs.
Now though Sky Italia is reporting that sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is meeting with the Blucerchiati in Milan.
There is a €25m release clause in Torreira’s contract which is valid until June 30, but it must be paid in one lump sum.
Napoli are offering to pay €30m to sign the midfielder, but spread over several instalments.
They could also take Torreira on loan for a set fee, with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
