“Verdi is done, (director of sport Cristiano) Giuntoli did everything yesterday evening with Branchini,” De Laurentiis told the Corriere dello Sport.

However, Radio CRC report that Verdi’s entourage are stunned by the statement, as the player has made no decision yet.
He already turned down the Partenopei once and could do so again, even if Carlo Ancelotti called personally.
Inter remain strong contenders for Verdi’s signature and there is another unknown club believed to be in the running too.
