Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski is a target for Juventus if they sell Gonzalo Higuain, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

Over the last few days, there have been growing rumours that Higuain is on the market, just two years after the club paid €90m to activate his release clause from Napoli.

Juve have avoided denying the reports, only saying that they’ll “see what happens” after the World Cup.

Inter hitman Mauro Icardi had been mentioned as the prime candidate to replace him, but the Corriere dello Sport has now pointed to Lewandowski instead.

The Poland international turns 30 in August and has plenty of Champions League experience, but is said to be frustrated after four years at Bayern Munich.

He is looking for new challenges and Juventus would be an ideal solution.

Lewandowski scored 41 goals in 48 competitive games for Bayern last season and is expected to shine for Poland at the World Cup this summer.

Juve and Bayern Munich have done business several times together in recent years, exchanging players on favourable terms such as Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman.
