Serie C side Pordenone have gone viral again after ‘sacking’ their logo and running a teaser campaign over a new, rather familiar design.

Pordenone first hit the headlines in December during a giant-killing Coppa Italia run that saw them knock out Venezia, Lecce and Cagliari.

Their social media campaign ahead of the trip to San Siro against Inter in the Round of 16 poked fun at their opponents and won over many neutrals.

Yesterday, Pordenone amusingly ‘sacked’ their current logo, complete with official statement thanking the logo for its “13 years of hard work, collaboration and loyalty, wishing it the best for its transfer to a new home: the Neroverde Museum (in the bar of the De Marchi training ground).

“We at the club pledge to visit it every day.”

They then released six potential new logos, each based comically on Inter, Roma, Napoli, Milan, Sampdoria and Juventus, all imposing their trademark lizard with green and black colours.
