Cagliari have officially appointed former captain Daniele Conti as their new technical director.
The news was confirmed in a statement on Cagliari’s website, while the role represents a promotion for Conti, who previously worked as a technical coordinator for the club’s youth sector.
He will now work alongside sporting director Marcello Carli, as part of what is a revamped management team, with the Sardinians unveiling Rolando Maran as their new Coach on Thursday.

The 39-year-old – son of Roma and Italy icon Bruno Conti – made almost 500 appearances as a midfielder for Cagliari, prior to his retirement in 2015.
