Domenico Berardi’s agent has confirmed holding talks with Roma sporting director Monchi but insists it was ‘just an exploratory chat’.
It was reported on Thursday that Roma were in ‘advanced negotiations’ for Berardi, but while Simone Seghedoni acknowledged meeting Monchi, he maintained such an assertion was too early to make.
“It’s true that I met Monchi,” he told LaRoma24.

“It’s true that I met Monchi,” he told LaRoma24.
“However, it was a meeting we established long ago and just an exploratory chat. There are no real negotiations.”
The winger managed only five goals and two assists in 33 competitive appearances for Sassuolo last season but worked under Giallorossi boss Eusebio Di Francesco at Mapei Stadium for five years.
