Milan see Villarreal’s Samu Castillejo as an ideal replacement if Suso leaves, according to reports.

Suso has a release clause in his contract, which is believed to be worth around €50m and only valid for foreign clubs.

It’s not clear if the Spaniard wants to leave, but the Rossoneri don’t want to be caught out if someone does activate his clause.

Suso has a release clause in his contract, which is believed to be worth around €50m and only valid for foreign clubs.

It’s not clear if the Spaniard wants to leave, but the Rossoneri don’t want to be caught out if someone does activate his clause.

As a result, reports Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, they are looking at Castillejo as a potential replacement.

The 23-year-old has similar features to Suso, and like all Spanish players has a release clause in his contract.

It’s not clear the value of that clause, but Milan could use Carlos Bacca to lower the fee they’d have to pay.

The striker spent the last season on loan with Villarreal, but the Liga side are not keen to pay the €15.5m it would take to sign him permanently.

The Diavolo could therefore offer the Colombian as part of a deal to get Castillejo.
