Former Inter striker Ronaldo calls Egypt boss Hector Cuper “the worst Coach I ever had in my career”.
The Nerazzurri came close to winning the Scudetto under the Argentine in 2001-02, but lost at Lazio on the final day to hand Juventus the title.
One of the most famous images of that day is Ronaldo crying on the bench, and the former striker hasn’t forgiven Cuper.
“My story at Inter ended badly because of him,” the Brazilian told Spor TV.
“He continued coaching them though, maybe he has the best agent in the world. I was recovering from surgery and I wanted to play, but our relationship wasn't good.
“I went to ask the President [Massimo Moratti] to choose between me and him. In the end I went to play for a wonderful team like Real Madrid, but I can say that Cuper was the worst Coach I ever had in my career.”
