SPAL made a double announcement today, signing Mohamed Fares and activating their option for Federico Viviani from Hellas Verona.
The Ferrara-based club made their first top flight appearance in 50 years and survived the threat of relegation, so are preparing for next term.
This evening, they announced the arrival of Fares from Hellas Verona, the versatile winger and full-back signing a four-year contract.
It’s a loan deal with obligation to buy if he and the club hit certain targets this season.
SPAL also activated their option to buy midfielder Viviani from Verona, as he had already been on loan with three goals in 29 appearances.
Sky Sport Italia claim the total cost of the two operations is €6m plus bonuses and a percentage of a future sale.
