Bologna have officially confirmed the signing of Roma goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski on a five-year deal.
The Pole is arriving in what amounts to a swap deal, with Antonio Mirante moving to be the backup at the Stadio Olimpico.
“Bologna FC 1909 are pleased to announce that the goalkeeper Lukas Skorupski has joined the club from Roma,” a statement on the Rossoblu’s website confirms.
“The Pole has signed a contract that runs until 30 June 2023.”
The 27-year-old made just one Serie A appearance for the Giallorossi last season, but impressed during his two seasons on loan at Empoli.
Roma then confirmed that the transfer fee is an initial €9m.
"Bologna will pay an initial fee of €9m for the player – with a further €500,000 in performance-related bonuses potentially payable.
The deal also includes a clause that guarantees AS Roma 25 per cent of any profit over €1m, should the player be sold by Bologna in future."
