Three targets to replace Anderson

Lazio have reportedly identified Gremio forward Luan, Sporting’s Gelson Martins and Atalanta’s Papu Gomez as targets to replace Felipe Anderson.

Brazilian Anderson appears set to leave the Biancocelesti for English Premier League club West Ham United.

According to numerous media outlets, Hammers officials will be in Rome later today to finalise terms of the 25-year-old’s departure to London.

And according to Il Messagero, the Stadio Olimpico club have wasted no time in beginning the search for reinforcements.

Former Brazil youth international Luan has never played in European football. However, according to the Italian daily, he would be interested in completing a move to Rome.

Lazio are also known to be in negotiations with Atalanta over the signing of Gomez, who has impressed in Serie A since joining La Dea in 2014.

Martins would be the most difficult of the three for Lazio sporting director Igli Tare to recruit, given the Portuguese midfielder has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool of late.
