Bologna asked Napoli to take Marko Rog on loan, but Carlo Ancelotti is eager to make the most of him this season.
According to La Repubblica, the midfielder who turns 23 next month was approached for a temporary spell at Bologna.
He had already been linked with Sampdoria, managing very few starts under Maurizio Sarri since his €14.5m transfer from Dinamo Zagreb.
However, it’s reported new boss Ancelotti wants to rely on Rog more regularly this season.
He is a Croatia international with 12 caps under his belt, even if he hasn’t made it into the 2018 World Cup squad.
