The Seleçao staff confirmed yesterday that he has been diagnosed with a thigh strain, though the extent of the damage is not yet clear.
He is certainly out of the next group game against Serbia and could well miss some of the knockout rounds.
According to UOL Esporte, Douglas Costa – who came off the bench at half-time – felt the thigh twinge with 14 minutes to go and carried on playing.
