New Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has reportedly decided to abandon his club’s pursuit of Carpi striker Jerry Mbakogu.

Leeds were alleged to have agreed a deal in principle for Mbakogu months ago, but Gazzetta di Modena claims Bielsa is not interested in the Nigerian.

The newspaper adds it could ‘complicate’ Carpi’s dealings in the transfer market, with the Serie B side counting on the funds from his sale.
