Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech confirmed Napoli tried to sign him this summer, but “my future is at Arsenal.”
With Pepe Reina and Luigi Sepe leaving, the Partenopei need to bring in two goalkeepers, so were targeting one experienced figure and another younger option.
“There was interest from Napoli, it’s true, but my future is at Arsenal,” 36-year-old Cech told reporters in the Czech Republic.
“I am not thinking about a change of club. Now there are three in competition for the Arsenal gloves and I am ready.”
