The unlikely link between the Italian champions and the Portuguese superstar first surfaced in Tuttosport, and the newspaper repeats its claim on its front page today.

Now Spanish titles have joined the Turin sports daily, as Marca claims the Bianconeri are willing to offer a four-year contract worth €30m per season.

According to the newspaper, they have already contacted Real Madrid to try to work out a fee.

Ronaldo has a €1bn release clause in his contract, but it’s thought that has been lowered for clubs which don’t represent “direct rivals”.

It’s not clear if Juve would fall under that category, as they do compete in the Champions League against Real Madrid.

Nonetheless, Marca reports that Los Merengues have no intention of keeping an unhappy Ronaldo, who already has a verbal agreement with the Old Lady.

These stories must be taken with a pinch of salt though, as the figures mentioned would smash the Bianconeri’s wage structure.

Gonzalo Higuain is the club’s current top earner on €7.5m per season, so even if the €30m figure is gross rather than net – the latter is what is always reported in Italy – Ronaldo would be earning around €17m per season.
