Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa is pushing for a move to Serie A, with Genoa and Napoli believed to be interested.

According to Mexican paper Record, the shot-stopper’s agent Jorge Berlanga is flying in to Italy for negotiations.

He is said to have meetings set up with both Genoa and Napoli, although the Partenopei seem to be out of the running after Alex Meret had his medical today.

Ochoa is a Mexican football legend who turns 33 later this month and has 94 caps to his name, impressing at the 2018 World Cup, where his side went out of the Round of 16 to Brazil.

He is currently playing for Standard Liege after spells at Club America, Ajaccio, Malaga and Granada.

Genoa signed Federico Marchetti after selling Mattia Perin to Juventus, but still need a first choice goalkeeper and Ochoa would fit the bill.
