Juventus could propose Manchester United take Mario Mandzukic in part-exchange for Matteo Darmian, according to Sportitalia.

This would have to wait until after Croatia’s World Cup campaign has finished, but Mandzukic has hinted he could seek a move away.

He is increasingly frustrated at being used in a wide or even defensive role, whereas he’d relish a more central position at Old Trafford.

The 32-year-old is a fan favourite for his work rate and determination since a €21m transfer from Atletico Madrid in 2015.
