Napoli have officially confirmed the signing of 21-year-old Udinese goalkeeper Alex Meret on a five-year contract.

The Partenopei are looking to replace Pepe Reina, as he left at the end of his contract to join Milan.

They eventually settled on two Zebrette goalkeepers, with Orestis Karnezis taking his medical today and the youngster officially signing this afternoon.

“Napoli announce the permanent signing from Udinese of Alex Meret, who has signed a contract until June 20, 2023,” a statement on the club’s website confirms.
