Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli asserts Suso ‘certainly won’t go to Inter’ and that any strikers his club sign ‘must be better than those who leave’.

Sky Sport Italia reported last month that Suso’s agent was in talks with Inter, but Mirabelli made it clear his former club could forget about signing the Spaniard, while affirming the likes of Nikola Kalinic and Andre Silva would be replaced by better goalscorers.

“Buffon? I’m happy for him, I never thought that at 40, Gigi would go to play for one of Europe’s biggest clubs,” he said at a Press conference.

“Immobile or Morata? We’ve never gone public with any names, so as not to deceive anyone.

“If some of our attackers move on then the ones we bring in must be better than them and compatible with the style of play Rino has in mind.

“We have to be positive and remind ourselves that we have a very young group, which came third with Gattuso in the dugout.

“I’m thinking about the pitch and I expect the future to be great: the lads have returned with enthusiasm.

“None of the agents of our big players came to ask us about them leaving the club. Suso? He has a foreign release clause and he’s always insisted that he wants to stay,

“I hope he does, but he certainly won’t go to Inter. There’s one thing I can assure you: Milan won’t offer their players elsewhere or sell off their best players.

“Even if negotiations began for anyone, the Coach would still have the last word.”
