Legendary Coach Arrigo Sacchi admits he has a ‘doubt’ over Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus – the dressing room.

Sacchi once attacked Ronaldo for his lack of form with Madrid towards the end of the 2014-15 campaign, and the former Milan and Italy boss again expressed reservations about the No 7 after he became Juve’s record signing.

“We were no longer used to having the best players in Italy, and Ronaldo is perhaps the best, if not one of the top two,” he told Canale 5.

“For that, I congratulate Juventus. This deal will not only benefit Juventus but also Italian football.

“The Portuguese, besides being a great player, is a great professional. Juventus are a great club who know how to budget very well, and I have no doubt that this was a deal well done.

“The only doubt I have is that Juventus have had strong leadership as a club in the last few years.

“The salaries were different, but the rules have always been the same for everyone and this must also happen with Ronaldo.

“If not, problems could arise within the dressing room, which has always been masterfully managed by the club, while Allegri has done an extraordinary job of it too.

“Champions League? Juve are aiming for the dream of all Juventus fans: winning the biggest competition in the world, the one that marks you out, lets you move up a level, earns you a lot of money and allows you to multiply your prestige: the Champions League.”
