Parma have officially confirmed the signing of Rangers defender Bruno Alves, who signs for free on a one-year contract.
The Portuguese international joined the Gers from Cagliari last summer, but after failing to impress in Scotland his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
That freed him to return to Serie A, and the Ducali have today confirmed that the veteran has signed.
“Parma Calcio 1913 announces the signing of the player Bruno Eduardo Regufe Alves, who has signed a one-year contract expiring on June 30, 2019,” a statement on Parma’s website confirms.
“The defender spent last season with Rangers FC, from whom he has been released in the last few hours, and in the coming days will meet his teammates at the pre-season training camp, having been granted permission for a few extra days off considering his participation with the Portuguese national team at the World Cup.”
