Parma have officially confirmed the signing of Rangers defender Bruno Alves, who signs for free on a one-year contract.

The Portuguese international joined the Gers from Cagliari last summer, but after failing to impress in Scotland his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

That freed him to return to Serie A, and the Ducali have today confirmed that the veteran has signed.
