The agent of Milan striker Nikola Kalinic says his client will “prove his worth”, and discusses his exclusion by Croatia.
The forward refused to come on in his country’s first World Cup game against Nigeria, claiming that he had a back problem.
His compatriots reached the final last night with a 2-1 win over England, meaning Kalinic has missed out on Croatia’s greatest footballing achievement so far.
“It’s pointless to talk about it now, what happened has happened and life goes on,” Tomislav Erceg said on Radio Sportiva.
“Unfortunately this year didn’t go well, he’ll soon prove his worth but I’m not talking about the transfer market.”
