Alejandro Gomez says Atalanta “is like my home” but warns “I’ve always said I want to play for big clubs…”
The Orobici captain has been linked with Lazio this summer, having helped his side qualify for the Europa League in the past two seasons.
“When you have a good season it’s normal that there will be offers,” Gomez told Sky.
“They’ll be dealt with by the club and my agent, we’ll see what happens because there’s still a long way to go.
“I’ve always said that Bergamo is like my home, I feel a sense of responsibility to the city and the fans but I’ve always been honest, I’ve always said I want to play for big clubs that can play in the Champions League or fight for the Scudetto.
“I don’t know anything about Lazio, but in today’s football you can never say never. I’ve never made promises of love.”
