Liverpool have officially completed a world-record transfer for Roma goalkeeper Alisson, who joins for €72.5m.
The goalkeeper was a key part of the Giallorossi side who reached the Champions League semi-finals last season, drawing interest from all over Europe.
In recent days though, the Reds stepped up their pursuit and a bid was accepted on Tuesday night.
Today Alisson took his medical in England, and he has now been officially announced as a Liverpool player.
Roma confirmed the fee taking the 26-year-old to Anfield was €62.5m plus €10m in bonuses, making Alisson the most expensive goalkeeper of all time.
Liverpool also have the most expensive defender in history, having paid around €80m for Virgil van Dijk in January.
