Former Milan midfielder Demetrio Albertini admits returning to the club would be a ‘dream’.
Albertini is a Milan legend, having made over 400 appearances for the Rossoneri between 1988 and 2002, winning five Scudetti and three European Cups.
The 45-year-old is currently out of work in football after spells with FIGC and Parma, but he made it clear a role back at San Siro was in his sights.
“I’ve never been contacted by anyone,” he said at the 2018 edition of the Gran Gala del Calcio.
“I’ve been taking my own path for several years, but it would be a dream if it crossed with Milan’s.
“It’s as if Milan have been wrapped in a layer of fog, but clarity is always the best thing.
“I think the fans feel like they’re on like on a rollercoaster: they go from moments of enthusiasm to ones of doubt and fear: they don’t deserve this.
“Elliott? It’s difficult to comment on them because the negotiations have been private and I don’t want to be superficial.
“I don’t know what the real intentions of the American fund are.”
