Sime Vrsaljko is keen to join Inter, but Atletico Madrid want to sell him outright, according to reports.
The Croatian right-back is the Nerazzurri’s main target for the position, and he impressed with Croatia at the World Cup.
Vrsaljko also has knowledge of Italian football, having previously played for Sassuolo.
Gazzetta Sportiva reports that the player is keen to return to Italy, and is pushing for a move to Inter.
There is an offer on the table of a €6m loan with a €25m option to buy, which is effectively an obligation as the Beneamata wouldn’t spend that much on the loan just to have Vrsaljko for a year.
Atleti haven’t yet responded as they want to sell the defender outright, but the fact he wants to return to Serie A could force their hand.
