Lazio are reportedly interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Andre Schurrle, but his wages could prove a stumbling block.
The Biancocelesti are keen to sign a winger this summer, not least as Felipe Anderson has left for West Ham United.
Schurrle was left out of Dortmund’s squad for their pre-season tour of the U.S.A, so his agent is looking to find a new club for the German international.
Crystal Palace are thought to be interested, but Il Tempo reports that Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is also showing interest.
The Aquile could offer Europa League, but the Eagles would likely offer a higher salary.
Schurrle currently earns around €4.5m per season in Germany, while the Roman club is only willing to go to €3m.
That gap could potentially be bridged by bonuses, but with the Premier League television deal Palace have far more room for manoeuvre.
