Bordeaux have confirmed that Brazilian forward Malcom is set to join Roma.
The announcement comes after Gianluca Di Marzio claimed earlier in the day that Malcom had agreed a five-year contract with Roma, in a deal that could set the Giallorossi back €40m.
“Bordeaux announce they have reached an agreement with Roma for the transfer of Malcom, subject to the signing of administrative documents,” the French club tweeted.
The 21-year-old, who primarily plays as a left-footed right winger, scored 20 goals in 84 appearances for Les Girondins and has represented Brazil at Under-20 and U21 levels.
