Fiorentina have confirmed the arrival of Kevin Mirallas from Everton on a four-year contract.

The 30-year-old joins the Viola on an initial season-long loan, with the Florence club having the option to sign him permanently next summer.

The Belgium international was surplus to requirements at Goodison Park, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Greek side Olympiakos.

And in a statement issued on their official website, Fiorentina confirmed the latest addition to Stefano Pioli’s squad.

“ACF Fiorentina announces it has signed the sporting rights of Kevin Mirallas from Everton FC, on loan with an option to buy,” it reads.

“Mirallas was born on 5 October 1987 in Liege, Belgium, and will sign a contract tying him to Fiorentina for the next four seasons.”

Mirallas, capped 60 times by Belgium, has also played for French clubs Lille and Saint-Etienne.
