Joao Pedro will miss Cagliari’s first three Serie A games of the season after his doping-ban appeal was rejected.

Joao Pedro was given a six-month ban in May for failing two drug tests last season, although he had already served three months of his suspension by then.

As a result of the National Anti-Doping Court’s decision, the Brazilian forward will not be available for selection in official competitions until September 16.
