The Rossoneri arrived in Spain for tonight’s friendly match in the Trofeo Santiago Bernabeu.

“I am exhausted, but very happy. Returning to such a wonderful stadium against a side that has won everything is always marvellous,” new director Maldini told Sky Sport Italia.

“Aside from being opponents, there is the utmost respect with Real Madrid. They and all the fans want to see Milan back to the top level, but it takes time to do it properly.”

The club is entering a new phase under US hedge fund Elliott Management, who repossessed the club after Yonghong Li failed to keep up loan repayments.
