Roma are increasingly confident they can sign Steven N’Zonzi from Sevilla for €28m, well below his release clause.
The midfielder has made it abundantly clear he wants to leave this summer and, with the Premier League window closed, the Giallorossi are his best option.
Sevilla repeatedly stated via directors and Coach over the last couple of days that any exit must be achieved either through the release clause or a figure close to it.
The clause varies from €35-40m depending on the circumstances, but Sportitalia and the Corriere dello Sport maintain an agreement can be reached for €28m.
Roma director of sport Monchi is increasingly confident that a deal can be done for N’Zonzi, with Monday expected to provide a breakthrough.
