Olympique Marseille have joined Nice, Porto and Torino in the hunt for Valencia and Italy striker Simone Zaza.

According to L’Equipe, Ligue 1 outfit Marseille and their Coach Rudi Garcia – formerly of Roma – are keeping a close eye on the situation.

Their first choice had been Mario Balotelli, but negotiations with Nice broke down after the offer of €2.5m was rejected outright.

Zaza scored 13 goals in 33 Liga matches last season, but is not part of Valencia’s plans for the future.

It’s reported Valencia would be open to a €5m loan deal for the 27-year-old, with Nice, Porto and Torino also interested.
