Not only are Real Madrid not going to let Luka Modric go, but it’s rumoured they’ll report Inter for ‘tapping up’ the player.

Modric and his representatives have been pushing for weeks to make this move to San Siro, claiming President Florentino Perez had promised to let him go if they won the Champions League for a record third season running.

However, with Cristiano Ronaldo going to Juventus in similar circumstances, Perez slammed the door shut.

However, with Cristiano Ronaldo going to Juventus in similar circumstances, Perez slammed the door shut.

Tonight one final summit was reported between Modric and Perez, but it went worse than Inter could’ve expected.

According to Cadena Ser, not only will Real Madrid not even consider negotiations to let him go, but they’ll even report Inter to FIFA for illegally approaching a player under contract.

Inter could accuse Perez of hypocrisy, having announced new Coach Julen Lopetegui just days before he was supposed to start the World Cup with Spain.

Adding fuel to the fire, this evening Modric made a post on Instagram hinting he’ll remain at the Bernabeu.

“A heavy defeat, but a defeat does not define this team! It is time to get up and continue working the way we always have done. #HalaMadrid ”
