Aurelio Andreazzoli assures Empoli “don’t need to change our approach” in Serie A, especially after an opening win over Cagliari.

The Tuscans won the Serie B title last season and started this term on the right foot, beating Cagliari 2-0 thanks to Rade Krunic and Ciccio Caputo goals.

“It is satisfying, because I had a few doubts this evening with six new players. Controlling the game in these circumstances is certainly a good sign,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“I don’t think we should change our approach because we’ve gone up a division to Serie A if the ideas we had to get here proved fruitful. There is a step up in quality, but that doesn’t mean we have to transform the team.

“We are ready to work hard and fight, the results won’t be the same as in Serie B, but I think with this approach we can get some very good results in Serie A too.”
