Lautaro Martinez celebrated his 21st birthday today and experienced the traditional Inter prank, but is “trying to forget” the defeat to Sassuolo.
The striker was pelted with flour and eggs in the locker room by his new Nerazzurri teammates, a ritual reserved for every Inter player on their birthday in recent years.
“I am very happy to have celebrated my birthday in Italy with all my new teammates. My family is flying in from Argentina and I’ll have dinner with them tonight,” the Argentina international told Inter Channel.

Lautaro made his Serie A debut last Sunday in a surprise 1-0 defeat to Sassuolo.
“We are working to reach our best form and forget what happened in the opening round. We want to make up for it from this Sunday against Torino.”
