The hosts absolutely dominated the first leg of the Europa League play-off, having 12 shots on goal compared to one for the Danes, yet it ended 0-0.

It all goes down to the decider in Copenhagen on August 30.

“As I said before this match, we have a 50 per cent chance of getting through to the group stage,” said Solbakken in his Press conference.

“This was a clash between two very good teams. The first half was very balanced, while Atalanta had more opportunities after the break.

“I don’t think they had any huge chances to score, though we were maybe a little bit lucky, but we defended in a very Italian style. In the second leg, we’ll continue to defend our box the way we did this evening and then anything could happen.

“It’ll be very difficult and I continue to think Atalanta are probably the favourites. They can beat anyone on their day, including us. What I can promise you is that we won’t lose the second leg 8-0.”
