This game will be played at the Stadio Dall’Ara in Bologna, as the Stadio Mazza in Ferrara is undergoing restructuring work and won’t be ready until after the break for international duty.

Ironically, SPAL already won here last week, beating hosts Bologna 1-0 with a Jasmin Kurtic rocket.

“We are facing a newly-promoted side with a lot of tradition behind it and we’ll aim to build on last week’s win,” said Semplici in his Press conference.

“The new signings will need some time to settle and their turn will come, but for now I want to create a strong identity for the team. The most important thing is the mentality of the lads and we deserved the victory.

“Parma have a lot of quality in their squad, including Gervinho now, and we’ve got to cover the wings well to protect the defence.”

Kevin Bonifazi and Sergio Floccari are out injured, but deadline day signing Mirko Valdifiori could get his debut along with Johan Djourou.

SPAL squad for Parma: Gomis, Milinkovic-Savic, Thiam; Cionek, Djourou, Felipe, Simic, Vicari; Costa, Dickmann, Everton, Fares, Kurtic, Lazzari, Missiroli, Schiattarella, Valdifiori, Valoti, Vitale, Viviani; Antenucci, Moncini, Paloschi, Petagna
