Max Allegri felt Juventus earned “a deserved victory, but we have a lot more work to do” after their 2-1 result away to Parma.

The Bianconeri have now won three out of three, but it was another hard-fought match, as Gervinho had temporarily cancelled out a Mario Mandzukic opener before Blaise Matuidi’s winner.

“The lads did very well. Parma is a difficult place to play and we’d only won one of our last five visits,” the Coach told DAZN.

“The lads did very well. Parma is a difficult place to play and we’d only won one of our last five visits,” the Coach told DAZN.

“Parma are fighting to secure safety, are very organised and dangerous on the counter, but they ran out of steam towards the end. It’s a deserved victory, but we have a lot more work to do.

“We should’ve been more patient and not so hasty, as it played into Parma’s hands in the first half.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has still not broken his Serie A duck and missed a good opportunity at the Stadio Tardini.

“There are different difficulties a striker has to deal with in Serie A, but he had a good game overall. I am happy with what he’s doing and the break for international duty will help all of us to be sharper.

“Mandzukic has always been generous, but even I didn’t expect him to be in such good shape after the World Cup. Paulo Dybala is slowly finding his form too and did well when he came on.

“I need everyone going forward, such as Medhi Benatia, Andrea Barzagli and Daniele Rugani, so the more fresh legs and sharp minds we’ve got, the better.”
